Master Sergeant James Satterthwaite (Ret.)

Is a Pitt County native, a Rose High school graduate and holds an Associate Degree in Police Science from Pitt Technical Institute.

He was a Farmville Police officer from 1976 to 1981. A Pitt county sheriff's deputy from 1981 until he retired in 2006.

He is also a certified NRA Pistol instructor.
